Driftless Images (2024), for solo cello, was composed for cellist Craig Hultgren. The work draws inspiration from the topography of the Driftless Region of northeastern Iowa. This beautiful area of the United States features rolling, grass-covered hills, unique cloud formations and types, exposed rocky cliffs, and numerous streams and waterways—all of which provide rich imagery for musical inspiration!
